Our hospice pug, Spanky crossed the rainbow bridge on March 18, 2021.
Hi everyone. My name is Spanky, a 10-year-old neutered fawn male. In November, a small rescue was contacted by my previous owner saying she needed help with her animals. When the rescue went out to the location to assist, they saved me, 6 other dogs, and 40+ cats. The house where I was living was consumed of vomit, feces and urine and mold. Since being rescued by Pug Rescue of Sacramento, I am now sleeping in a warm bed and being cared for. I came to Pug Rescue of Sacramento weighing 29 pounds. My foster family is working on getting my weight down and currently weigh 23.7 pounds. My hearing and vision is limited but I can still make my way around great. During recent medical visits, the vet found I have a collapsed trachea, I am diabetic and currently taking medications. Even though I may have some health issues, I get along with other animals and do well with children. Oh did I tell you I'm a very lovable pug.
