The owners of Lagniappe Peak Vineyards adopted a pug from us 4.5 years ago.  They named her Malbec, after one of the grape varietal grown in their vineyard.  Malbec is a sweet girl, full of adventure and a little mischief.  Given her constant energy and desire to be involved in everything, she has been named “Chief of Mischief” and “Overseer of All Operations” at the winery.

A special wine was even created in her honor, labeled “Pugsley”.  As cute as the name is, Pugsley is a serious wine.  It was just rated 90-92+ by Robert Parker.  Malbec wouldn’t settle for anything less.

In fact, quite a few of Lagniappe Peak’s carefully crafted wines have gained critical acclaim.  Their DBA Red Wine Blend was just named as one of the top 160 California wines by Monty & Sara Preiser, was rated 93 points, and won a gold medal at the American Fine Wine Competition (AFWC).  Their Pere Cabernet Sauvignon just won a double gold at AFWC for the second year in a row; and was rated 92 points by James Suckling.

Lagniappe Peak Vineyards are now generously giving to Pug Rescue of Sacramento.

They will donate $5 for every bottle under $50 purchased and $10 for every bottle over $50 purchased when customers use the code “PROS”.  It is your charitable duty to enjoy some great wines.  Do it for the pugs!  Shop now at!
