Original Story | 10.04.2015
Hello, my name is Lola. I came to Pug Rescue of Sacramento from a shelter, weighing 5.9 pounds in October, 2015. The shelter called PROS to see if they would take me as they were going to euthanize me. I was so malnourished and weak that I could barely walk. Due to untreated diabetes, I had developed cataracts, which left me nearly blind. I was very timid and cowered when touched. After many, many vet visits and almost two years of support and care, I’m now a healthy happy girl. I had cataract surgery in November 2016 and now I can see out of my left eye. My diabetes is controlled through diet and insulin injections. I love kids and other dogs. My foster mom says I’m showing signs of being an alpha so I would need a more submissive doggie sibling. I’m housebroken and love to cuddle! I’m ready to begin the next chapter of my life WITH YOU!
