Our sweet Leilani means “Heavenly” in Hawaiian.  Only 4 weeks old taken away from her mother.  Leilani came into our lives on June 22, 2013 when she was rescued from the streets of Oakland, CA because someone had initially thought she was a pit bull.  We volunteered at the PROS garage sale and as the sale was coming to a close, a couple who rescued this cute little puppy pug, delivered her to our PROS President Jan Grover.  She was so tiny that you could hold her in the palm of your hand.  We made the decision and offered to foster this precious tiny puppy on the spot.  We already had raised 2 sets of siblings at separate times from their puppy stages and knew in our hearts that we had to step up and be her foster parents.  Several days later Jan asked me to give her a Hawaiian name and I named her Leilani.  It’s been a blessing to raise this precious little one and 6 months later, Leilani is officially part of our pug family.  Leilani has 2 pug brothers and a pug sister.  Leilani loves car rides; she is that perfect pug when she is riding in our vehicles.

Thank you Jan and John, for having faith in our abilities to foster Leilani, she has brought added joy and love to our family!
